Title Out of Reach (almost)... Other Bits...

So THATS What It Feels Like.
It's testimony to our recent dominance of the North London derby, that the retards from up the road are going on about last night like they won the World Cup, or heaven forbid a League title. In a tense affair, debutant, Danny Rose scored a screamer of a goal early on, which put us on the back foot. We had loads of possesion which we couldn't convert to chances, and went in 1-0 down at the break.

Planet of the Bale scored just after the break to give us a mountain to climb after we'd lost Thomas Vermaelen to yet another annoying injury. A highlight late on was the introduction of Robin van Persie on his comeback from injury, and he looked sharp and had a couple of great chances, well saved by Gomes. Bendtnertime struck late as we've come to expect, with a tap in, and as we chased the draw, the clock went down faster than Harry Redknapp at his tax evasion hearing (you'd hope).

Sad scenes, as they league is now beyond our grasp, and even the biggest straw clutchers, of who I am one, would have to admit, unless some of that Icelandian ash infects Drogba, Rooney, Terry and Vidic's sinuses so badly they miss the rest of the reason, we gotta give it up...

Sir Wenger is with us on that: "We lost a game we couldn’t afford to lose in the title race, that shows that we’re not mature enough because you can’t afford to lose this type of game if you want to win the championship. There’s too much to do now. We’re very unlikely now to win the championship. We’ll continue to fight but even a point wasn’t enough against Tottenham – we needed three..."

Injury Update...
Arsenal.com have announced that Thomas Vermaelen will miss the rest of the season, and Denilson could miss the game against Wigan on Sunday with a groin problem. Le Boss announced that it looks like RVP came through unscathed, and said he'd 'get a few games now' as we finish off the season...

Cesc On Barca Radar... Yawn...
Despite Lord Hill-Wood saying Barcelona had categorically promised to not try and prise Fabregas from the sweaty clutches of er... us, Trixi Burgerstain, the Barcelona 'Technical Secretary' has said they would still be tracking the player.

Which now leaves us with yet another 3 months of Fabregas denials, as their Presidential race hots up: "If Barcelona think that he is necessary for the team, they will go for him, always respecting negotiations. We have never said that we will not try to sign Cesc Fabregas. We will see what happens..." said Trixi as he pushed another goat from a window...
