Defenders to Stay... Arshavin: Injuries to Blame...

Summer Sol Stays...?
Sol Campbell wants to stay at The Emirates next season, following his rebirth at the home of football. Campbell has been an oversized revelation towards the end of this season, and the only player to come out of the last two games with a shredit (shred of credit) but still isn't sure whats going to happen next season.

He said: "The boss has always done it as he does. He might phone me in July, might speak to me next week, but for me I’m just going to concentrate on the last few games. He will do it in his own way, as he always does..."

Arshavin Speaks...
Hard not to read the following quote in the 'Arshavin' voice from the Arseblog ArseCast, but give it a go: "Unfortunately it [RvP's comeback] is slightly too late to win a trophy. Some of Robin's shots were difficult to save but Gomes has done it. It helped Tottenham to beat us for the first time in 11 years..."

"He had a big impact last season and he has done well before his injury, so he is showing his quality. I cannot say we would be champions but it would be easier for us [with fewer injuries]..."

Fingers crossed Andrey can be arsed to return against Man City this weekend...

Clichy Wants to Stay Too...
As silly season begins to warm up, Gael Clichy is the latest of our players to be linked with a move abroad. However, Clichy won't be moving as he loves it here: "It is great that these teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid are looking at me. They are great teams as everyone knows but all I want to say is that I am focused on the end of the season. I want to win something here. I have two years left on my contract so it is not a question to answer..."

"I wouldn't say I feel English because some people will be upset with this. But I feel really at home here. Whenever I go home and see my family for two weeks, even if I feel really good there, I have to come back to London..."

A Song for Europe...
Youngster Conor Henderson was pleased to be in the squad for Sunday's capitulation against Wigan. He's been talking about the crazy initiation which all new players have to endure on the team bus, singing a song in front of their team mates. He's said: "The players all made me feel at home, I had to sing so that was a bit nerve-wracking! I did a song from Mario called 'Let me Love You' (!) but it went well and everyone laughed so it was alright. Just to be included was massive for me, I was so happy to be going with the squad. If that happens again it's a bonus, if not then I'll just try and play my best in the youth team..."

Unfortunately, Manuel Almunia and Lucas Fabianksi don't catch the coach. In fact, they don't catc-- oh, you were already there...
