Spanked by the Mank Yankees...
The team formerly known as the Arsenal 1 - 3 Man Utd. Expectations were high going into this game, yes, United had the momentum, on the back of booking a Wembley final appearance, and flying high in the league, but yes, we were welcoming players back from injury, had recently tasted what it was like at the top of the league, the game was poised on a knife edge.

Until it kicked off that. Then Andrey the giant plum forgot where the goal was, Clichy forgot how to defend, Denilson forgot how to run, and Almunia forget how to save anything. Add to that jaded performances from the rest of the side, and you get an idea of what happened. Imagine the semi-final second leg in last season's Champions League, take away the er... midweekery, add some disappointment, takeaway our league title hopes, and you are somewhere close to how disappointing yesterday felt.

Goals from Almunia (yes really) Rooney and Chow Mein Park, with a reply from Thomas Vermaelen almost sparking us into awaking from our slumber, but not quite. Still, at least the transfer window isn't shut yet - oh. Oh well, at least we haven't got Chels-- oh.

Following the capitulation, Arsenal.com bring us all the news we need to cheer us up. Partner Watch: Hoang Anh Gia Lai start season. WOOHOO!!!

I divide the games with Aston Villa, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool into two parts - the first part has been held, there are still two more games. I hope we will conduct them better..."
