Concentrating on the League...
Stoke 3 - 1 Arsenal. With a makeshift side against a plucky Norvern clogging side, things were never gonna be easier, and they weren't. With a team more mixed up that Harry Redknapp's books, a goal after just 70 seconds didn't help either. With Rory Delap's long throws and incessant time wasting, they put us under more pressure and a late first half strike from Denilson put us level just before the break, the ball taking a wicked Lampard off a Stoke player and past Loren Sorenson.
The second half, the game could have gone either way, but it didn't, it went their way, with a 2-1 win, Ricardo Fuller doubling his tally with 13 minutes to go and a late third saw us dumped out of the Cup. Looking on the bright side if there is one, at least we have some breathing space between some tricky fixtures now...
Pole Stops at Brentford...
The Pole in Goal has stayed with Brentford until at least the end of January. Wojciech Szczensy has extended his loan spell and Brentford and Arsenal will hold talks about a further extension until the end of the season...
