Jack to Return for Team GB...?
Looks like Team GB is going to have a great chance of winning Olympic gold, with the news that Stuart Pearce is likely to pick Jack Wilshere for selection despite having missed the whole season with an ankle injury.

Le Boss has expressed his disdain for Wilshere's selection, but 'Psycho' Pearce said: "We're in constant contact with Arsenal and we’ll see how this one rides, but, will any manager get a veto over who I select? Of course not. We’re talking about Great Britain here. The Olympic Games. If you strip it down solely to the players, this is an opportunity of a lifetime. Lionel Messi took his club to court because he wanted to play at the Olympics. That’s the best player in the world..." Er.. hasn't he heard of Gareth Bale?

Wenger said defiantly: "The Olympics would be the worst idea for him..." "EVER." we added.

Double Awards Gong Shocker...
Robin van Persie might have gone off the boil in the goalscoring charts but he's gone off the SCALE in the award winning hit parade. He scored a number one with the PFA Player of the year award on Sunday, then followed it up with the 2012 Football Writers Footballer of the Year award.

The Football Writers Association chairman Steve 'Simon' Bates said: "Robin was the overwhelming choice of our members this season and deservedly so after a magnificent campaign for Arsenal. The quality of his goals, attacking movement and consistency in a turbulent season for The Gunners has been eye-catching..."

Sir Wenger chipped in: "You have national class, international class, world class and Gareth Bale, and Robin is world class..."

The Rover Returns...
Denilson will return to Arsenal in June after the club refused to extend his loan deal. Denilson broke the news: I am at Sao Paulo until June 30th. then I will have to return..."

Denilson's agent Alexandre Soares remains positive he could stay: "At this time, they demand the return of the athlete (who? oh Denilson...) but football is unpredictable. From the conversations we have had, São Paulo will continue trying to extend the loan of Denilson..."
